Jigsaw Homes Group has had the green light for a planning application to build 34 new affordable homes in Gedling, Nottinghamshire.
The new development will comprise of a mix of one and two-bedroom apartments for the over 55s with on-site parking. The development is part of the Group’s wider plans to provide a mix of new homes throughout the Gedling borough. The apartments will be managed by Gedling Homes, part of the Jigsaw Group.
The existing sheltered housing complex on Lendrum Court in the village of Burton Joyce will be demolished to make way for the new homes. Jigsaw Group is hoping to start work on the site later this year.
Garnet Fazackerley, Operations Director for Development at Jigsaw Group said: “Jigsaw Group remains committed to providing a mix of homes across the borough. Our plans for the development at Lendrum Court aim to provide 34 much-needed new apartments for the over 55s while enhancing the surrounding area with a high-quality building. The plans are part of the group’s wider efforts to tackle the housing crisis and deliver 2,177 new homes by 2022 across the North West and East Midlands.”
