Memory Cafe Residents Stay Fire Safe

Residents at the Netherfield Memory Café in Nottingham received a special visit from the Nottinghamshire Fire Service last week and learned different ways to stay fire safe.

Jigsaw’s Neighbourhood Engagement Officer Martin Curtis invited Fire Prevention Officer Craig Langton to attend the café and discuss the fire service’s Safe and Well booklet, answer questions from residents and arrange future smoke alarm checks.

The monthly Memory Café is open to people with early on-set dementia and their carers. They frequently take part in a mix of activities including quizzes, word searches, and reminiscence boxes.
